Wunkar Football Club will share in the $22.5 million Stronger Communities Programme following its successful application for $3,914.00 for a solar pump to pump water from local dam.

Mr Pasin said the Stronger Communities program is aimed at funding projects that deliver social benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen communities across Australia.

“Our local communities are the heart of this great country and the investment in local projects under the Stronger Communities Programme is about invigorating these communities and ensuring they have the facilities to remain vibrant, great places to live into the future,” Mr Pasin said.

“The Wunkar Football Club is a great local footy club that benefits the wider regional community. Being able to provide funding for this project is helping to ensuring the club remains viable into the future by enabling the club to save money on water bills and keep their oval in top condition.”

“This is exactly the sort of project that helps to bring the community together, strengthens social connections, build community participation. It’s all part of creating vibrant, healthy and viable communities into the future.” Mr Pasin said.
