Tony Pasin is encouraging people to get involved in Australia’s biggest annual doorknock, the Red Shield Appeal.

Held over the weekend of 25-26 May, the Appeal has set a target of raising $8 million. The money raised from the Red Shield Appeal will go towards The Salvation Army’s vast network of services that help Australians in need.

In the Murraylands the Salvos are looking for volunteers to help raise crucial funds for the Red Shield Appeal, and Tony Pasin is appealing to the community to get involved.

“The Salvation Army has a long history of coming alongside Australians in need. For more than 135 years, the Salvos in Australia have been committed to helping those doing it tough,” Mr Pasin said.

“Like any good campaign, it wouldn’t be possible without the help and support from volunteers. It’s a small way that people can be part of something that makes a big difference,” Mr Pasin said.

Tony Pasin attended the official launch of this year’s Red Sheild appeal in the Murraylands yesterday.
