Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has paid a visit to Barossa Schools who recently made the trip to Parliament Canberra.

Two students from Springton Primary School and seven students from Mount Pleasant Primary School visited Parliament House in Canberra on November 6.

Although Mr Pasin, was unable to welcome these students to Parliament House because the Federal Parliament was not sitting, Mr Pasin caught up with students from both schools on Monday to discuss their trip and his role in Canberra.

“I was impressed by the enthusiasm and knowledge the students showed about our nation’s capital and our Parliamentary system,” said Mr Pasin.

“I was pleased to present these students with certificates recording their time in Canberra and I commend the teaching staff for taking advantage of the opportunity to show the leaders of tomorrow our national capital.”

Mount Pleasant and Springton have recently come into the electorate of Barker earlier this year and this was Mr Pasin’s first visit to the school to meet with students and teachers.

“These schools are an important part of Mount Pleasant and Springton communities. It’s really important for me to get to know the school community and visit when I can. I’m very much looking forward to returning,” Mr Pasin.
