Member for Barker Tony Pasin’s annual Barker Christmas Card competition has been another success with hundreds of entries received from across the electorate.

Students from years one to five were invited to submit artwork that represented Christmas in their region.

“We’ve had a fantastic response, with outstanding entries coming in from across the electorate,” Mr Pasin said.

“I congratulate all those students who took the time and effort to create artwork that demonstrated what Christmas means to them, in their unique region,” said Mr Pasin.

Four entries were selected by Mr Pasin to feature on his 2017 Christmas Cards, one from each region of the Barker electorate- Barossa, South East, Riverland and Murray Mallee.

An artwork by Mylee Lynch, year 3 at St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School was chosen by Mr Pasin to appear on the card to represent the South East.

Mr Pasin visited the school on Thursday to congratulate Mylee and presented her with her prize.

“It’s really great to see such a festive spirit in the community at this time of year- especially amongst children,” Mr Pasin said.
