The Australian Government is providing $150,000 to fund thirteen local community infrastructure projects across the electorate of Barker.

Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin said Round 6 of the Government’s Stronger Communities Programme is aimed at funding projects that deliver social and economic benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen local communities across Australia.

“Local organisations such as sporting clubs are the beating hearts of local communities. The Stronger Communities Program is about strengthening those local organisations to ensure they have they remain vibrant and sustainable into the future.”

“We know this is needed more than ever after the challenges of the last year, so I am pleased that the Federal Liberal Government is continuing to support local organisations and their communities.”

Jervois Combined Sports Club received a grant of $7,626 under Round 6 of the Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.

“This grant will enable the Jervois Combined Sports Club to upgrade the clubrooms air conditioning.” Mr Pasin said.

Jervois Combined Sports Club President, Russell Jarvis said the Jervois Sports club members and community are thrilled for the contribution by Tony Pasin through the Stronger Communities Program.

“Upgrading our club air conditioning will ensure all sports club and community members will be able to utilise the clubrooms and can be comfortable throughout the year. A big thank you to Tony and his staff for making it all happen.” Mr Jarvis said.
