Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has delivered$7,500 in Federal Government Funding for the Rotary Club of Kapunda to refurbish and upgrade their mobile BBQ trailer.

The organisation received the funding through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.

Mr Pasin said he was pleased the Federal Government was helping fund the project that would see the Rotary Club become more sustainable by ensuring they always have access to safe, modern equipment to meet demand for their services.

“By granting this funding to the Rotary Club for their BBQ trailer it’s benefiting the whole community. Not only by continuing to enjoy the BBQs, but the fundraising that comes from these events. It’s a win win,” Mr Pasin said.

Mr Pasin said the Stronger Communities program is aimed at funding projects that deliver social and economic benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen local communities across Australia.

“Our local communities are the heart of this country and the investment in local projects under the Stronger Communities Programme is about just that – strengthening communities and ensuring they have the facilities and the infrastructure to remain vibrant, great places to live into the future,” Mr Pasin said.
