Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has delivered $8,905 in Federal Government Funding for the Penola Men’s Shed extension.

The organisation received the funding through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.

Mr Pasin said he was pleased the Federal Government was helping fund the project that would see increased membership and community involvement with the shed’s extension.

“This funding will contribute to essential services such as plumbing and electricity and is part of the larger shed extension project that will see members have more comfortable facilities which will help to attract a broader membership,” Mr Pasin said.

Mr Pasin said the Stronger Communities program is aimed at funding projects that deliver social and economic benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen local communities across Australia.

“Our local communities are the heart of this country and the investment in local projects under the Stronger Communities Programme is about just that – strengthening communities and ensuring they have the facilities and the infrastructure to remain vibrant, great places to live into the future,” Mr Pasin said.
