Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has delivered$7,000 in Federal Government Funding for Riverland Life FM to install air-conditioning at the Loxton radio station.

The organisation received the funding through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.

Mr Pasin said he was pleased the Federal Government was helping fund the project that would help see the station replace the old air-conditioning system that has been broken for 6 years.

“Riverland Life FM is a Community Radio Station providing a much valued service to the Riverland and upper Mallee community. I’m pleased that our Government can support the team continue to deliver this service in a more comfortable environment, after 6 years of Riverland summers without air-conditioning,” Mr Pasin said.

Mr Pasin said the Stronger Communities program is aimed at funding projects that deliver social and economic benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen local communities across Australia.

“Our local communities are the heart of this country and the investment in local projects under the Stronger Communities Programme is about just that – strengthening communities and ensuring they have the facilities and the infrastructure to remain vibrant, great places to live into the future,” Mr Pasin said.
