Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has delivered$2,500 in Federal Government Funding for the Limestone Coast Foodbank to assist in the installation of a new air conditioner.

The organisation received the funding through the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program.

Mr Pasin said he was pleased the Federal Government was helping fund the project that would see the premises become more comfortable for staff and volunteers.

“This is a small but important contribution to an organisation that brings so much benefit to our community,” Mr Pasin said.

Mr Pasin said the Stronger Communities program is aimed at funding projects that deliver social and economic benefits and form part of the Coalition Government’s continuing commitment to strengthen local communities across Australia.

“Our local communities are the heart of this country and the investment in local projects under the Stronger Communities Programme is about just that – strengthening communities and ensuring they have the facilities and the infrastructure to remain vibrant, great places to live into the future,” Mr Pasin said.
