Member for Barker Tony Pasin has urged exporters in Barker to take advantage of the Coalition Government’s export grants program.

Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) support Australian small to medium enterprises to become successful exporters by co-funding international marketing and promotional expenses; driving export growth and local jobs.

“The Coalition Government provided $214.5 million to support 4,700 Australian businesses to develop and expand into export markets through the EMDG program in 2020-21,” Mr Pasin said.

“I encourage businesses in Barker to apply for an Export Market Development Grant to supercharge their business and go global.”

Mr Pasin said the EMDG program had been improved with a streamlined application process and a shift to a forward-looking grant program which will ensure exporters know how much funding they will receive before they undertake their marketing and promotional initiatives in overseas markets.

“I want Barker businesses to succeed internationally, because their export success creates jobs and translates into a stronger local economy.” Mr Pasin said.
