LETTER TO THE EDITOR – MOUNT GAMBIER RSL WOMENS AUXILIARY 80 YEARS

Dear Editor,

I congratulate the Mount Gambier RSL Sub-Branch Women’s Auxiliary on reaching their 80 year anniversary.  A fantastic local organisation that supports the RSL, the wives of returned servicemen and Legacy. 

On the home front women have consistently dealt with the consequences of war. From parenting alone, running households with limited, often rationed supplies and of course dealing with the consequences of losing loved ones.

War time also saw many women contribute to the war effort, particularly during world war one and two.

Congratulations again to all those associated with the Women’s Auxiliary of the Mount Gambier RSL sub-branch on reaching this significant milestone. Our community is stronger for your contribution to it.
