The Morrison Government is investing an additional $20 million in the highly successful Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program to fund critical infrastructure works, including in Barker.

Member for Barker Tony Pasin said the Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program will help deliver better boating, camping and fishing facilities in Barker.

“We know Australians love to get outdoors, whether it be going camping, taking the tinnie out, or casting a line, this investment will help ensure we have amenities accessible to all Australians to enjoy well into the future,” Mr Pasin said.

“Recreational fishing is an important leisure activity across Barker that contributes economic and social benefits to the local community.”

“Only the Morrison Government recognises the significant role the fishing industry plays in creating local jobs, whether it be through the commercial, recreational or seafood sectors, and we want to ensure these industries continue to boom for generations to come.”

“These projects will support our economic recovery right here in Barker through funded infrastructure construction, creating jobs in local communities and boosting tourism.”

“Through the Morrison Government’s strong economic management can we continue to deliver these important local infrastructure projects for our boating, camping and recreational fishing community in Barker.”

Only the Morrison Government will continue to deliver a better future for Barker, and this is part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
