At the Rotary Club of Mobilong’s recent Christmas Gathering Tony Pasin, Member for Barker, announced funding of $16,250 for a new purpose built catering trailer for the Club to take to local community events.

The funding from the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Programme will allow Mobilong Rotary to purchase and fit out a catering trailer which will in turn entail the replacement of current barbecue equipment which is approximately 20 years old and currently has to be transported on club members’ private trailers.

“I congratulate the Rotary Club of Mobilong on their successful application, and am looking forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have in the community through fundraising for local causes at local events,” Mr Pasin said.

The Stronger Communities Program provides not for profit organisations access to funds for small capital projects aimed at strengthening communities by improving community facilities.

“The Rotary Club of Mobilong and its 40 plus membership is a worthy recipient of funding to improve their barbecue cooking facilities. It is a great example of a project that will help build a stronger community,” said Mr Pasin.

Mobilong Rotary President Adrian Pergallini said that the Club has been raising funds for this project for several years and this grant from the Federal Government will allow this project to finally get off the ground.

“We expect to have the new purpose built trailer up and running at community events as of Australia Day 2018,” Mr Pergallini said.
