Member for Barker, Tony Pasin has secured $18,000 for Millicent McLaughlin Park Sports thanks to the Coalition Government’s Stronger Communities Programme.

The funding will contribute to the purchase of a new LED Scoreboard at the sporting facility that will replace the old manual scoreboard.

“I congratulate the organisations involved in this project particularly the Millicent Football Club on this successful application, and I am looking forward coming back during the footy season and seeing the scoreboard in action,” Mr Pasin said.

The Stronger Communities Program provides not for profit organisations access to funds for small capital projects aimed at strengthening communities by improving community facilities.

A number of different sporting clubs from around the region have contributed to funding the new scoreboard.

“This is a great example of community organisations working together to achieve outcomes. I’m so pleased that Federal Government funding can also support this project,” said Mr Pasin.
