Students at Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Angaston will benefit from the refurbishment of learning areas, a parent entrance and student amenities thanks to $215,000 in funding from the Federal Government.

Member for Barker Tony Pasin officially opened the new facilities today on behalf of the Minister for Education the Hon. Dan Tehan MP.

“It was great to visit Good Shepherd Lutheran School and see the new facilities firsthand and the impact they will have on students’ learning potential,” Mr Pasin said.

Mr Pasin said students and the whole school community would benefit from these new facilities.

“These new learning spaces take into account the latest in educational research and will see students learn more effectively.

“This is part of our commitment to ensuring students have the support they need to succeed in the classroom.

“Students and teachers thrive when their schools have modern and up-to-date facilities – that’s why the Federal Government is proud of the Capital Grants Program, which has benefited thousands of schools across the nation.”

The Government has committed $703 million until 2022, which provides funding for non-government schools to improve capital infrastructure.
