Yesterday the Prime Minister announced bringing forward critical road projects across South Australia. Please see attached relevant joint media release from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, Minister for Regional Services, Decentralisation and Local Government and SA Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government.

Comments attributable to Member for Barker Tony Pasin:

Regional road upgrades are vital to increasing productivity and safety. The Morrison Government is making these upgrades a priority by bring this funding forward.

I’ve been strong advocate for our local roads and while the State Government made a commitment to raise the speed limit back to 110 km per hour, I’m pleased that our Federal Government has stepped up to fund upgrades to these eight state roads.

Three over taking lanes on Riddoch Highway will also be brought forward under this package. This is a big win for the South East, making one of our key transport routes safer for all road users.
