Member for
Barker Tony Pasin has officially opened the new facilities at the Rocky Gully
Sporting Clays Association in Monarto.
Earlier this
year Mr Pasin announced the club was successful in their application for
$47,000 to the Morrison Government’s Community Sport Infrastructure Grant
program to upgrade the Monarto clubrooms.
The upgrades
have made the club a more family friendly club by expanding the clubrooms to
include a disabled toilet and baby changeroom facilities.
“This
initiative is upgrading local facilities across Australia and that’s helping
drive increased participation in sports and physical activity,” Mr Pasin said.
“By investing
in projects like this we are delivering the kind of social and community
benefits that come from greater activity and participation in sport,” Mr Pasin
said.
