Member for Barker Tony Pasin has announced Coonawarra Penola RSL will benefit from $67,918 in Federal Government grant funding.
Mr Pasin said this grant will enable the Coonawarra Penola RSL to refurbish the amenities at the Coonawarra Penola RSL building.
“I congratulate the Coonawarra Penola RSL for their successful application to the Federal Government’s Veteran and Community Program.” Said Mr Pasin.
“The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the Coonawarra Penola RSL ensures veterans and their families receive essential services, support and opportunities allowing them to continue active roles in their local communities,” Mr Pasin said.
Coonawarra Penola RSL President Peter DeGaris said “It was with much pleasure that we accepted the advice of our successful application of a Grant to renovate the dated amenities in the ablution area of our RSL club.”
“Our building was completed in the 1950’s and as near 75 years old renovations needed to bring our facilities up to current standards. This grant together with our financial contribution will make the hall much more comfortable for all of our community and in particular our ageing Veterans.” Mr DeGaris said.
“I would like on behalf of the Coonawarra Penola RSL to thank Tony Pasin for his helpful assistance in obtaining this Grant.” Mr DeGaris said.
