The Federal Government’s 2023-24 Volunteer Grants are now open. As your local Member of Federal Parliament am pleased to invite not-for-profit community organisations in the electorate of Barker to participate in program.
The Volunteers Grant Program was an initiative of the Coalition Government, supporting our commitment to assist and encourage volunteering in our local communities.
Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 can be used to buy small piece of plant and equipment, for the reimbursement of volunteer fuel, transport or training costs or to purchase items that help promote awareness of volunteering opportunities.
The objective of the program is to:
- Help community organisations to support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers
- Help community organisations to support the inclusion of vulnerable people through volunteering
- Encourage, support and increase participation in volunteering
The process for making an application is as follows:
- Read the Grant Opportunity Guidelines
- Complete and return the Expression of Interest form direct to tony.pasin.mp@aph.gov.au before 5pm, Monday, 11 September 2023.
- Following a panel process, selected organisations will progress to stage two and be invited to submit a full application for the funding round through an online portal.
- Successful organisations will be notified in April 2024
