Member for Barker Tony Pasin’s annual Barker Christmas Card competition has been another success with hundreds of entries received from across the electorate.Students from years one to five were invited to submit artwork that represented Christmas in their region.

“We’ve had a fantastic response, outstanding entries coming in from across the electorate,” Mr Pasin said.

“I congratulate all those students who took the time and effort to create artwork that demonstrated what Christmas means to them, in their unique region,” said Mr Pasin.

Four entries were selected by Mr Pasin to feature on his 2017 Christmas Cards, one from each region of the Barker electorate- Barossa, South East, Riverland and Murray Mallee.

An artwork by Alanah Hubert of St Joseph’s Primary School was chosen by Mr Pasin to appear on the card to represent the Riverland.

Mr Pasin visited the school on Tuesday to congratulate Alanah and presented a prize.

“It’s really great to see such a festive spirit in the community at this time of year- especially amongst children,” Mr Pasin said.
