The election of Ben Hood to the South Australian Parliament’s Upper House is fantastic news for the Limestone Coast. As a community leader in the South East, Ben enters the Legislative Council with the skills and experience to achieve tangible, positive outcomes for the people of South Australia.

Ben is one of the most hard working and passionate members of our local community and I have had the opportunity to work closely with Ben on a number of projects including advocating for increased mental health services through the Head to Health centre, the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre and the current campaign to see local access to radiation oncology services.

I’ve seen first hand the passion and drive that Ben brings to fighting for his local community and it’s why I have been such a huge supporter of his desire to take these skills to the State Parliament.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to support Ben in his capacity as Councillor and more recently Deputy Mayor of the City of Mount Gambier as well as in his various leadership positions within the South Australian Liberal Party.

I look forward to working together as a team of State and Federal representatives passionate about South Australia’s regions with an innate understanding of the potential of the Limestone Coast.
