Member for Barker Tony Pasin has announced $100,000 in Federal Government Funding that will support the Riverland Dingy Derby to build new clubrooms.

“Across Barker and across the nation our Government is supporting community organisations to upgrade their infrastructure because we recognise the wider, social and community benefits that come from events like this one,” Mr Pasin said.

“Since its establishment in 1981, the Riverland Dingy Derby has brought together communities from across the Riverland as well as spectators and competitors from across the State, National and indeed the around the world. It’s a wonderful event run by a great club and one that I’m so pleased I can support with this Federal funding grant,”

“I approached the Prime Minister to advocate for funding to help the club with their project to build new fit for purpose clubrooms. I’m thrilled that my advocacy has been successful and that this funding will flow through to the dingy club irrespective of the outcome of the forthcoming federal election.”

The funding will be delivered to the Riverland Dingy Derby Club through the Federal Government’s Community Development Grant fund.
