ROMANI AGED CARE RECEIVES GRANT

Romani Aged Care in Murray Bridge has received $10,000 from the Federal Government to help commemorate the service of members of the Australian armed forces.

Member for Barker, Tony Pasin MP visited the new facility this week to congratulate the organisation on the funding which will see the installation of new display cabinets for an extended collection of memorabilia.

Mr Pasin said he was pleased to see the RSL Care SA actively pursuing Federal funding for Romani Aged Care to commemorate all who have served.

“It’s so important that as a community we continue to commemorate all those who served. I congratulate RSL Care SA and Romani facility on taking this initiative,” Mr Pasin said.

The Saluting Their Service (STS) Commemorative Grants Program is designed to commemorate the service and sacrifice of Australia’s service personnel in wars, conflicts and peace operations, and their families.

Up to $3.5 million is available each financial year for distribution, split across three batches throughout the year. The intended outcome of the grant opportunity is to provide funding for projects and activities that promote appreciation and understanding of the experiences of service and the roles that those who serve have played together with activities that preserve or provide access to information about Australia’s wartime heritage.
