St JOSEPH’S STUDENT ART FEATURED ON BARKER CHRISTMAS CARD

The successful entries to Member for Barker Tony Pasin’s annual Barker Christmas Card competition have been revealed as Christmas Cards hit 82,000 letterboxes across Barker this week.

Hundreds of entries to Mr Pasin’s annual Christmas Card competition were received from across the electorate with artwork from four students chosen by Mr Pasin to be professionally printed on the card.

Barker primary school students were invited to submit artwork that represented Christmas in their local region.

An artwork representing Christmas in the Murraylands by 8 year old student Tony, from St Joseph’s School in Murray Bridge School was chosen as one of four artworks to appear on the card.

Mr Pasin visited Tony at St. Joseph’s School recently to congratulate Tony and present him with a prize.

“Congratulations to all students who took the time to create artwork and enter the competition. There were hundreds of entries, and it was heartwarming to see the excitement for Christmas and the pride for their region reflected in the children’s work,” said Mr Pasin.

“I was so pleased to meet Tony recently and provide him with his prize of a box set of coloured pencils to assist him as he pursues his obvious talents,” Mr Pasin said.

The Christmas Cards and 2024 Calendar have been distributed by Australia Post to households across Barker.
