Member for Barker Tony Pasin says giving a tourism experience as a Christmas present this year is a unique gift that supports jobs and businesses in the Australian tourism sector.

The Morrison Government has launched an $8 million marketing campaign to inspire Australians to buy travel-related Christmas presents this year.

“Australians are getting vaccinated in record numbers which means our country is re-opening to travel, as set out in the National Plan,” Mr Pasin said.

“After a year of restrictions caused by COVID-19, now is the perfect time to give the gift of travel to a loved one this Christmas.” Mr Pasin said.

“We have so many fun and interesting things to do right across Barker so I encourage everyone to give the gift of travel this year.” Mr Pasin said.

“Every dollar spent with a local tourist operator supports jobs and businesses in our local community.” Mr Pasin said.
