Liberal Member for Barker, Tony Pasin, has announced Loxton RSL Sub Branch will benefit from $122,853 in grant funding from the Morrison Government.

Funded through the Morrison Government’s Veteran and Community Program, the grant will enable the Loxton RSL Sub Branch to complete further upgrades to the Loxton RSL Sub Branch building, including a new ceiling, front entrance ramp and windows.

“I congratulate the Loxton RSL Sub Branch for their successful application to the Federal Government’s Veteran and Community Program.” Said Mr Pasin.

“The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the Loxton RSL Sub Branch ensure veterans and their families receive essential services, support and opportunities allowing them to continue active roles in their local communities,” Mr Pasin said.

President of the Loxton RSL Sub Branch, Rob Manuel, said the local RSL are pleased with the support given by the Federal Government with this grant.

“This grant will allow us to put the final touches on the RSL facilities upgrade and we will soon have a new ceiling, viewing windows for the bowls and an automatic front door entrance, with disabled access,” Mr Manual said.

“Previously we have received significant government support along with help from the members, the community and local council. We have already upgraded the kitchen, lights, Memorabilia room, toilets, air conditioning and outdoor area.

“On behalf of the Loxton RSL Sub Branch, I thank Tony Pasin, Member for Barker, for his ongoing interest in this facility which ultimately supports and remembers those who served.”

Only the Morrison Government will deliver a better future for Barker, and this is part of our plan to build a strong economy and a stronger future.
