Loxton veterans and their families will benefit from $130,299 in Australian Government grant funding that will help the Loxton RSL Sub-branch to upgrade their facilities.

“I congratulate the Loxton RSL for receiving this grant through the Australian Government’s Veteran and Community Grants program to upgrade their kitchen, toilet and air-conditioning,” Tony Pasin said.

“The Loxton RSL has a well-deserved reputation in our community for its commitment to improving the lives of those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.

Member for Baker Tony Pasin said these grants are funding fantastic projects across Barker that directly support our veterans and their families and have an ongoing benefit for the veteran community

“The benefits of this Veteran and Community Grants funding will also flow on to the local community, which has contributed to making this invaluable project a reality,” Mr Pasin said.

Ex-service and community organisations, veteran groups and private organisations that contribute to the health and welfare of the veteran community are encouraged to apply for funding through the DVA Veteran and Community Grants program.

“The dedication and hard work of organisations such as the Loxton RSL ensure veterans and their families receive essential services, support and opportunities allowing them to continue active roles in their local communities,” Mr Pasin said.

“In this funding round, just over $700,000 has been awarded to 37 projects across the country.”

“The Australian Government will continue to invest in and support to organisations helping veterans and their community.”

Veteran and Community Grants are now available through the Australian Government’s Community Grants Hub.
