The Nuriootpa RSL is among 28 projects across the country to receive funding from the Federal Government under the latest round of the Veterans and Community Grants program.

Member for Barker Tony Pasin said $33,166 funding will be provided to RSL Nuriootpa Sub-Branch to upgrade the kitchen facilities to ensure a safe environment for members and guests.

“I congratulate Nuriootpa RSL on their successful application I thank them for the essential support they continue to provide the local Nuriootpa community,” Mr Pasin said.

“Our community organisations, ex-service organisations and other local veteran groups provide valuable services and support to veterans and their families, and this funding will help them to further improve these services,”

“Bringing veterans and their families together is a great way for veterans to engage in social activities and bond with other veterans who share similar life experiences from the time they served and in civilian life,”

“To assist them to do this, the Federal Government is providing funding to upgrade and improve facilities for our Veteran community,” Mr Pasin said.
