CHRISTMAS IN THE RIVERLAND

Member for Barker Tony Pasin’s annual Barker Christmas Card competition has been another success with close to 1,000 entries received from primary schools right across the electorate.

Students from years one to five were invited to submit artwork that represented Christmas in their region.

“We’ve had a fantastic response, with outstanding entries coming in from across the electorate. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at them all, although it was not an easy task to select the winning entries.” Mr Pasin said.

Four entries were selected by Mr Pasin to feature on his 2025 Christmas Cards, one from each region of the Barker electorate: Barossa, Limestone Coast, Riverland and Murray Mallee.

An artwork by Jordan Coy, a student from the St Joseph’s School, Barmera was chosen by Mr Pasin to appear on the front of the Christmas card to represent the Riverland.

Jordan was presented with a prize - a boxed set of Derwent colouring pencils – at a pizza party hosted by Mr Pasin, for Jordan and his classmates.

“I congratulate all those students who took the time and effort to create artwork that demonstrated what Christmas means to them, in their

region,” said Mr Pasin.

Each participating student will receive a certificate and small gift from Mr Pasin.
