The importance of locally owned and produced news in regional communities should never be underestimated.

The Murray Pioneer is one of SA’s oldest newspapers. Since 1892, the Pioneer has been chronicling the lives of those living in the Riverland, providing a platform for the local community to share its triumphs and discuss its challenges.

Your professionalism in keeping the community informed over those 133 years is an important legacy, a legacy that this most recent award serves to reinforce is being maintained.
