Letter to the Editor - Congratulations Murray Valley Standard

Dear Editor,

Congratulations to the team at the Murray Valley Standard for being recognised at the recent Country Press SA Awards.

Being awarded the title of Best Newspaper (small) is an achievement to be celebrated.

Since 1934 the Murray Valley Standard has chronicled the lives of those living across the Murraylands and Mallee, providing a platform for the local community to share its triumphs and discuss its challenges.

The importance of quality, local journalism to empower and connect community should never be underestimated and I’m pleased to see the outstanding work of the Murray Valley Standard being recognised through this award.

Congratulations again on this achievement.
