Murray Mallee Auto Club receives Volunteer Grant

Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has presented the Murray Mallee Auto Club Inc. with a $2,000 Volunteer Grant to support the ongoing efforts of their members.

The funding will assist the club with covering insurance premiums and internet service fees – essential costs that ensure the organisation can continue to thrive and support its more than one hundred members.

Mr Pasin said volunteers are the backbone of regional communities and play a critical role in making local clubs like the Murray Mallee Auto Club successful.

“The Murray Mallee Auto Club is run entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to organising events, maintaining the Mid Murray Classic Car Gallery in Swan Reach, and keeping alive the rich history of motoring in our region,” Mr Pasin said.

“This funding will help the club cover the costs of insurance, ensuring all volunteers are protected when they gather for meetings and events. It will also assist with internet services, which are vital for communicating with members and promoting activities to the broader community.”

Murray Mallee Auto Club President Rocky Warren said the grant would provide a welcome boost to the club.

“This support helps us cover essential costs that aren’t always easy for a small club like ours to fund through membership alone,” Mr Warren said.

“We appreciate Tony’s assistance. The grant allows our members to focus more on doing what they love – organising events, sharing their passion for classic cars, and keeping the club strong and active in the community.”

The Murray Mallee Auto Club hosts a number of popular events each year, including the Swan Reach Classic Auto River Run, while also helping to operate the Mid Murray Classic Car Gallery, home to an impressive collection of classic and vintage vehicles.

“The dedication of the Murray Mallee Auto Club not only brings motoring enthusiasts together but also contributes to the vibrancy of the local community and economy,” Mr Pasin said.

“I’m proud to support their efforts with this Volunteer Grant, recognising the value of the countless hours their members give back to the community.”
