Recipients of the annual Barker Shield Awards Program have been congratulated by Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP as the school year comes to an end.
The Barker Shield Awards program is intended to acknowledge three top-performing students in each participating school, celebrating excellence in the categories of academic achievement, community service and spirit, and a bespoke category determined by the school.
“As Federal Member for Barker, it is a great privilege to formally recognise the valuable contributions of students who make a difference in their school communities and excel in their endeavours,” Mr Pasin said.
The student’s positive contributions are permanently honoured through the perpetual Barker Shield, which is displayed in a prominent location at each school.
Across Barker 22 Schools participated in the 2024 Barker Shield program including Bordertown High School and Lameroo Regional Community School.
“Congratulations to all students for their scholastic and community achievements of 2024, and whether they are continuing study or entering the work force I wish students from all schools across Barker all the best for 2025,” said Mr Pasin.
