PASIN CONGRATULATES 2025 BARKER SHIELD AWARD RECIPIENTS
Recipients of the annual Barker Shield Awards Program have been congratulated by Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP as the school year comes to an end.
The Barker Shield Awards program is intended to acknowledge three top performing students in each participating school. It celebrates excellence in three categories: academic achievement; community service and spirit; and a third category individually determined by each school.
‘As Federal Member for Barker, it is a great privilege to be able to formally recognise the valuable contribution of students that are making a difference in their school community and achieving at an eminent level,’ Mr Pasin said.
The student’s positive contribution is permanently honoured through the perpetual Barker Shield, which is displayed in a prominent location at each school.
Across Barker 24 Senior Schools participated in the 2025 Barker Shield program including Bordertown High School, Kingston Community School, Millicent High School, Naracoorte High School, Penola High School, St Martins Lutheran College, Tenison Woods College, Grant High School and Mount Gambier High School.
‘Congratulations to all students for their scholastic and community achievements of 2025, and whether they are continuing study or entering the work force I wish students from all schools across Barker all the best for 2026,’ said Mr Pasin.
