PASIN THANKS LIMESTONE COAST COMMUNITY AS CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING PROGRAM CONCLUDES
Federal Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP has thanked the Limestone Coast community for their generosity as the Barker Christmas Gift Giving Program concludes for 2025.
This week, Mr Pasin delivered hundreds of donated gifts to the Mount Gambier Salvation Army Citadel, where they were formally handed over to Corps Leader Tim Frost for distribution to local families in time for Christmas Day.
Mr Pasin said the response from the Limestone Coast had once again demonstrated the strength and compassion of the region.
“The generosity shown by the people of the Limestone Coast reflects the heart of our community,” Mr Pasin said.
“It was a privilege to collect and deliver these gifts on behalf of local residents, businesses and community groups. These donations will make a real difference to families who are doing it tough, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who contributed.”
Mr Pasin also acknowledged the role of the Salvation Army and volunteers who assisted with the collection and organisation of the donated gifts.
“This program succeeds because of the many hands involved,” Mr Pasin said.
“To every donor, and to the Salvation Army team - thank you for helping spread joy at Christmas.”
Mr Frost expressed appreciation for the continued community support and for Mr Pasin’s involvement in the program.
“Demand for assistance remains high across the Limestone Coast, particularly at this time of year,” Mr Frost said.
“These gifts will bring hope and happiness to local families on Christmas Day. We thank Tony and the broader community for their generous support of the Salvation Army’s work.”
Now in its second year, the Barker Christmas Gift Giving Program invites residents, businesses and community groups to donate new, unwrapped gifts via Mr Pasin’s electorate offices. The Salvation Army then distributes the gifts to families in need across the region.
